Villa Bellingardi
Nestled in the hills surrounding Lake Como, Villa Bellingardi is an eight-bedroom home built in the early 1800s during the Napoleonic Era. It was built on a mediaeval site now known as “Il castello”.
Part of the original mediaeval building still exists, including a 16th century fresco painted by A. De Magistris. Its unique location allows visitors to enjoy day trips to Como, Bellagio, Valtellina, Milan, and Lecco. Villa Bellingardi combines the ambience of days gone by and the comforts of modern living.
Its breathtaking surroundings, the grounds, the frescoed ceilings, the antiques and its fireplaces, allow visitors to live a one of a kind experience. It is an ideal retreat for family, getaways, events and weddings.

Outdoor living
The Villa
The main floor has 6 metre-high(18 ft) ceilings and French windows that open onto the garden. The living room is approximately 80 m2 and it is ideal for receptions, weddings and events. The dining room seats 12 people comfortably.
The billiards room encourages after dinner talks. The fully equipped kitchen with marble countertops, stainless steel appliances and a 5 stove cooker is ideal for guests and for Italian and international cuisine cooking classes in English.
The Grounds
The grounds are a combination of secular plants and fruit trees. Hidden niches allow visitors to sunbathe, or relax under the shade of a tree.
Other features include outdoor dining, children’s outdoor equipment, a tennis court, a 5x3m external pool and a gas BBQ.

Cooking in English
I grew up surrounded by magnificent women. The hearth of my home was the kitchen. This is where I spent most of my time.
My mother, my grandmother and other women all taught me amazing dishes with a hands-on approach: taste first, ask questions later. Here I would do my homework, chat, observe and learn.
